This was a learning year for Mario in many respects...he began learning the pro game and the rigors of the pro season and looked a little fatigued about 50 games in. He learned while playing on a team in transition that didn't have the defensive structure that it had had in prior years. He learned while playing with various wingers and call ups also learning new roles at the same time as he. The goal tending was an issue that hampered his stats.
